Biden campaign: Trump is 'melting down' with request to investigate Bidens

A whistleblower interior the Central Intelligence Agency has charged that, in line along with his secondhand understanding of the July 25 name, Trump urged a quid educated quo over the funds, then tried to quilt up fundamental components of the dialog.

His comments came as Kurt Volker, who resigned last week as the Trump administration's special envoy for Ukraine, was being interviewed behind closed doors in front of three House committees, accelerating the Democratic-led impeachment inquiry.

"China should start an investigation into the Bidens", Mr. Trump said Thursday as he left the White House to travel to Florida where he was expected to announce an executive order on Medicare.

He delivered a brief statement last month after the White House released a memo and whistleblower report - now the crux of a House impeachment inquiry into the president - that details how Trump pressed Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to investigate the Bidens anew, despite no previous findings that they did anything wrong.

US President Donald Trump openly called on China as well as Ukraine to investigate his potential 2020 election rival Joe Biden.

"It's a very simple answer", Mr Trump said of his call with Mr Zelenskiy.

Meanwhile, a longtime United States diplomat who served Trump's special envoy for Ukraine appeared before congressional committee staff on Thursday as part of the inquiry.

The Biden campaign charged that Trump's comments were "equivalent" to his call in 2016 for Russian Federation to release democratic nominee Hillary Clinton's emails if they had obtained them by hacking _ which USA intelligence agencies later assessed to be the case.

Trump has not shared any evidence of wrongdoing.

He later alleged without evidence that China had a "sweetheart deal" on trade with the USA because of the Bidens.

So, first Trump denied asking Ukraine to interfere in the USA presidential election, then he released a transcript of his call showing that he asked Ukraine to interfere in the US presidential election, then he said it was perfectly normal and fine, and now he's expanding that request to China. "But when President Trump asks Ukraine to investigate corruption, the Democrats want to impeach him". Hunter Biden was on the board of a Ukrainian gas company.

President Donald Trump on Thursday again invited foreign interference in a USA presidential election by publicly calling on China to investigate Democratic political rival Joe Biden, the kind of request that has already triggered an impeachment inquiry in Congress.

"Donald Trump is terrified that Joe Biden will beat him like a drum". The tweet took aim at the Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, and featured a clip of the former US Vice-President claiming that he'd never discussed any business dealings with his son Hunter.

Trump is now facing impeachment proceedings after urging the Ukrainian president to investigate Hunter over his dealings in the country.

Intelligence Committee investigators have been working with the Foreign Affairs and Oversight committees, "both of which will have equal Majority and Minority representation", the aide said in an email.
